Lightning in a Bottle, one of the world’s preeminent independent music and arts festivals, has announced the return of their seven hour lakeside welcome party for the 2020 iteration of the festival this Memorial Day weekend. The Thursday kick-off for early arriving attendees will be soundtracked by west-coast house and techno brigade Desert Hearts crew members Mikey Lion, Lee Reynolds, Marbs, and Porky. Those who attended the DH takeover at LiB in 2018 will remember it being the perfect, energetic start to the weekend. More info here
The early-arrival privileges continue into Thursday night, as CEO and founder of LA-based electronic music collective Soulection, Joe Kay, returns to grace LiB with his renowned four hour takeover at the bass-heavy environment of The Stacks. More info here
As Lightning in a Bottle prepares for its second year among the thick shade trees and swim-friendly shoreline of Buena Vista Lake with its reclaimed Memorial Weekend dates, attendees can be sure to expect the same comfort and familiarity of LIB’s passed. Key features to look out for can be found on the brand new ‘Birds Eye View’ map of the grounds, released today. From the kaleidoscopic tendrils of house and techno haven, The Woogie, to the vintage frontierville of The Grand Artique, LIB continues to thrill festival goers with its intricate structures and abundant music and culture focused programming. The warmer waters of the ever accessible lake allow for quick refreshers in between sets, the flatter terrain gives guests extra time to explore what's on offer, and the peninsula design provides attendees with breathtaking views, day and night. The 2019 testimonials are in, and LiB veterans are gushing over the changes.
Lightning in a Bottle will be revealing the first phase of the highly anticipated 2020 lineup in January 2020, but in the meantime, tickets are on-sale now and can be purchased at: https://lightninginabottle.org/tickets.
